After going to all of the Hawaiian Islands, I would say Oahu is the best place to spend your lengthy Hawaii Vacation but the other Islands should be visited as well. Oahu can be overwhelming just to spend a day trip in as there is so much to do. Maui, Big Island, and Kauai are also places you can spend lengthy times at it just depends what you are looking for out of your vacation.
Hawaii is very expensive and visiting every Hawaiian Island is unrealistic... however it is possible. If it were me, I would stay on Oahu for 3-4 days, Maui 2 Days, Big Island 2 Days, then finish off with day trips from Big Island to Lanai, Lanai to Molokai, and then Molokai to Kauai. After all, if you are coming to the Hawaiian Islands your stay is usually longer than a week. Hawaiian Airlines, Mokulele Airlines, and Lanai Air are the only airlines who do inter-island flights.
Oahu: The Heart of Hawaii
Oahu has it all...beaches, hikes, food, and so much more. Waikiki is the island's biggest tourist spot, offering a variety of food and activities. While Waikiki is famous, it can also feel overcrowded and commercialized. It’s a must-see for sure, but there are so many other spots on the island that deserve attention to get a more well-rounded Oahu experience.

Hulopo'e Beach: Hands down the clearest water I have ever swam in. This is also the perfect Lanai Sunset Spot.
Lanai is perfect if you're after a more intimate, off-the-beaten-path experience.
